Rules & Regulations
For Parents

  • »  This school diary is a major link between home and school. It must be brought to the school everyday. Parents should check and sign everyday.

  • »  The school diary is for recording assignments, leave requests and messages.

  • »  Parents are requested to go through the diary for the instructions from the school.

  • »  Please understand the contents in this diary. Ensure that these instructions are followed everyday for the betterment of your child.

  • »  The parents should look for daily messages and assignments and ensure that the students act as per the message.

  • »  Parents should make use of this school diary only for communication purpose.

  • »  Parents should strictly avoid availing permission for their wards either in the mornings or evenings during school hours except on genuine cases in order to avoid attendance discrepancies.

  • »  The leave form in the diary must be strictly used for applying leave. Any other format will not be accepted.

  • »  Medical certificated must be produced in case of sickness for more than three days. No half a day leave or permission will be granted to go home during school hours.

  • »  When long leave/leave during tests and examination becomes necessary due to unavoidable circumstances, permission from the Principal has to be sought and obtained in advance.

  • »  Permission can be granted during emergencies when written request is produced by the authorized person.

  • »  Pupil suffering from infectious diseases will not be permitted to attend the class.

  • »  Retest will not be conducted under any circumstances.

  • »  Attendance pm the re-opening days of every term is compulsory.

  • »  90% of attendance is absolutely necessary for promotion to the next higher class. Leave or absence will be granted only for genuine reasons. Requisition should be made in written application by parents.

  • »  Parents can meet the class teacher and subject teachers of the student as mentioned below and discuss regarding their wards performance.

  • »  Parents are not allowed to visit the students during class hours.

  • »  Parents should not enter the class rooms directly on regular week days.

  • »  Parents or guardians require the written permission of the Principal to take their children or meet teachers during school hours.

  • »  Parents are not authorized to man handle the other students. All disputes should be reported to the school authority for resolving. A parent handling another student leads to a difficult situation. If necessary in case of any emergency, parents may meet their children in the school campus only with the prior permission of the Principal.

  • »  Children must be instructed not to speak to any unknown person or to leave the school premises in the company of unknown person.

  • »  Information must be given in the school office whenever there is a change in residential address and telephone number.

  • »  Any serious misconduct by students will lead to the suspension / dismissal of such students.

  • »  Re-joining the school late after vacation is not permitted. Absenteeism during terms is not allowed.

  • »  Parents are requested to co-operate with the teachers in all matter relating to their wards.

  • »  Parents should encourage the children in completing homework and holiday homework.

  • »  Parents should participate in the house meetings on open day and receive the reports.

  • »  Generally students have to attend classes on all working days. If the child is sick, if necessary the child can avail half day or full day leave; permission to attend only for one hour or to depart one hour earlier will not be sanctioned.

  • »  Ensure that your ward takes a balanced diet to maintain normal health. The lunch packet must match the child’s taste for food and right amount of nutrients.

  • »  Parents should not allow the students to wear any gold jewellery, wristwatch etc. Mobile phones or any form of electrical gadgets are not permitted. If it becomes necessary to bring educational CDs for the purpose of project, the school will inform the parent through SMS and entry in the handbook. Bringing unwarranted CDs, books or journals is likely to attract action against the students.

  • »  Those parents who are applying for Transfer Certificate have to submit the requisition letter to the Principal in the 1st week of February. If not, T.C. will be issued only after the 1st term fees payment of the next academic year.

  • »  Gifts to the class children on one’s birthday should be avoided strictly by the parents.

For Students

  • »  Students must keep themselves tidy. They should cut their hair, nails periodically; shoes should be washed and maintained. Checking will be done by the class teachers and P.T. teachers for tidiness regularly.

  • »  Pupils must be punctual and regular.

  • »  Pupils are not allowed to meet parents or visitors or to leave the school premises during school hours without the permission of the Principal.

  • »  Students are not allowed to wear wrist watches to the school.

  • »  Late comers will not attend the classes and school gate will be closed sharp at 8.20 am.

  • »  Cycles must be parked in an orderly way and kept locked only at the allotted place.

  • »  Regular attendance, prompt completion of home work, obedience and respect, gentle and polite behavior towards teachers and other members of staff, are expected from every pupil. They are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both inside and outside the school.

  • »  Students must speak in English only, within the school campus.

  • »  Students are responsible for all their belongings. The school does not under take any responsibility for any valuables lost in the school.

  • »  Students should bring to class all the necessary text books and notebooks according to the time table. Unapproved books or magazines should not be brought into the school.

  • »  No pupil shall absent himself/herself without leave previously obtained except in case of unexpected circumstances. In the case of unexpected circumstances, applications for leave must be submitted on the following day.

  • »  Attendance during school functions such as Republic day, Independence day etc., is compulsory.

  • »  Pupils are expected to keep the school premises clean. They are forbidden to write or scribble on walls, throw paper or pouring ink on the classroom or in any way damaging the school properties will attract punishment and recovery of cost.

  • »  Girls with long hair should have them neatly plaited with black ribbon.

  • »  All the students should make full use of the opportunities provided for learning and participate in every way possible.

  • »  Students should be well behaved always. There should be no physical vigilance or abusive language on any account. Such behaviour is objected and can lead to suspension.
